Josaa medical certificate format pdf: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority which is usually abbreviated as JoSAA is an agency which works under the jurisdiction of the Government of India. This Authority was established in 2018 by the Ministry of Education, Government Of India. 

JoSAA was introduced by the Ministry of Education to manage and regulate the admission and seat allocation procedures for the tertiary educational sectors and institutions like IITs, NIITs, IIITs and other Government Funded Technical Institutes. This authority came into force in 2018 thus the admission and seat allocation process and guidelines were under the supervision of JoSAA from the academic year 2018-2019. JoSAA is under the chairmanship of Abhay Karandikar and Co-Chairmanship of Gautam Biswas. 

What is JoSAA Medical Certificate? 

There are a huge number of candidates who are aspiring to make their dream come true by getting admission in IITs, NIITs and many more institutions. These institutions are alloted after clearing the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE in short). Seats, location and institutional preference are given to the candidates according to their merit. 

For the admission and further studies in those institutions, JoSAA has fixed some standards which candidates need to meet before getting their admission successful. 

Here one is a medical certificate that candidates need to produce before the authorities of institutions. 

This JoSAA medical certificate is necessary to certify that particular candidate is not suffering from any kind of disability and disease. This sorting is done because the deceased or disabled need special treatment and facilities from admission till the completion of education. 

This is the reason behind the demand for the JoSAA Medical Certificate which appears to be a great step and it also exhibits that authorities are concerned about the proper and quality education of the candidates. 

What fields and details are required to be filled in Certificate?

First of all candidates need to download this certificate and have to take the print out of this certificate. (Process for downloading the medical certificate is given below in the next subheading) 

The Certificate contains a heading named ‘General Expectations’ in which Chest Measurement , Vision Related, Colour Blind, Hearing Related, Heart, Lungs, Mental Related and other physical Health status are brought to the concern of the candidates. 

Then Candidate has to fill his/her details according to the fields which are given below:-

• Name
• Gender 
• Identification of Mark(Mole, Burns, Scar etc) 
• Major Illness or Operation 
• Height (in cm) 
• Weight (in kg) 
• Blood Group
• Past History regarding Mental Illness and Epileptic Fitness
• Chest – Inspiration and Expiration (in cm) 
• Hearing
• Vision from left and right eye without glasses or lens
• Colour Blind Status
• Respiratory System Status
• Nervous System Status
• Heart Sound, Murmur
• In Abdomen, Liver and Spleen status 
• Status of Hernia and Hydrocele 
• Other Defect, if any. 

 

At last there is a portion named “Certificate of Medical Fitness” which has to be filled by the Government Medical officer who has carried out the above mentioned tests and analyses. Usually this is done by District level Government Doctors and Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) 

This portion has to be filled with the name of the Doctor who has done the tests, Signature of the Doctor, Registration Number, Seal or Stamp at last.

How to Download JoSAA Medical Certificate 

• First of all the candidate needs to visit the OFFICIAL SITE
• There you will see three lines on the top right corner, click on that. 
• Now you will see a “Certificate Format” named link, click on that. 
• Now you will see a table named ‘Certificate Formats’ 
• At second there will be file tilted: Certificate Formats, Click on that 
• A PDF file will be downloaded, open that PDF file there you will find annexure 7 in which the form named “Medical Certificate” will be seen take print out of that and go with the form filling process. 

That’s it. After getting a certificate validated by the Govt. Officers or authorities, you are ready with legit and valid certificates.
